Anxious mother sends her autistic son to fly alone: she soon receives a message from a seat neighbor

In 2019, Alexa Bjornson wrote a note to a passenger sitting next to her autistic son, Landon Bjornson, 7, when he had to fly to Oregon to visit his father.

Usually a child is a bit scared to fly alone in an airplane. Many parents are reluctant to let their children travel alone, even on short flights.

Although regulations often differ from one airline to another, most allow unaccompanied minors to fly under certain conditions, starting at the age of five. For most airlines, these restrictions are lifted from the age of 15.
