After getting divorced, American Jane Gresset couldn’t afford to buy her own apartment because she didn’t have a lot of money. He decided to solve the problem in another way.

She loved the suburb of Boulder, where she lived for 18 years with her family, and she wanted to stay in the neighborhood to be close to the kids who are in college and only come home on weekends and holidays.
But it was all about housing, which she couldn’t buy, because the minimum cost for the smallest house is $600,000. “I couldn’t afford to stay in the area on just one paycheck, and I absolutely didn’t want to remarry or live with anyone under the same roof,” Jen recalled of that situation.
