My dog and I went out for our usual walk in the park. It was a calm day, the air was fresh after the rain, and the steady sound of water was coming from the fountain. I was enjoying the silence, not thinking about anything bad. But suddenly my dog’s behavior changed dramatically.
He became alert, the hair on his withers stood on end, his ears perked up. I noticed how he suddenly froze, as if he sensed something, and then rushed forward with unexpected force. I called after him in confusion, but he did not stop. His movements were quick and decisive, as if he knew exactly where he needed to go.

And then something happened that I did not expect at all. Instead of moving away or waiting for me, my dog grabbed the bag in his teeth. I screamed, trying to stop him, but he seemed not to hear. He carried this heavy black burden straight to the fountain, not responding to my commands or calls.
In a matter of seconds he ran to the water. I kept calling him, almost losing my voice in desperation. But the dog acted decisively. In the next split second, without thinking, he jumped straight into the fountain along with that damned bag.

Only then did I realize that there was an explosive device in that bag. The water muffled the shock wave, the force scattered to the sides, harmlessly harming dozens of people who were walking nearby, unaware of the danger.
My dog understood everything before I did. He sensed a threat where I saw only a forgotten black bag. His instinct and courage saved dozens of lives.
