On a freezing winter afternoon, traffic screeched to a halt on a downtown bridge as a black SUV broke through the guardrail and plunged into the river below. Within seconds, the car began to sink, and the crowd could only watch in shock.
Inside the vehicle was seven-year-old Ethan Caldwell — son of billionaire Richard Caldwell, one of the most influential men in the city.
