Olga inherited a small one-room apartment from her grandmother and cherished it as her only real security. After marriage, her husband Andrey moved in, but soon began complaining about the space and pushing her to sell it so they could buy a bigger place. Olga refused—she didn’t want to give up her grandmother’s home.
Although Andrey acted caring toward Olga’s mother, Olga later discovered the truth by accident. One evening, she overheard Andrey in her mother’s building discussing how to sell Olga’s apartment behind her back and manipulate her into signing documents. Even worse, he was having an affair with a young neighbor.
When confronted, Andrey couldn’t deny it. Olga immediately ended the marriage, demanded he move out, and filed for divorce. Her mother supported her fully.
The divorce was quick, Andrey left with nothing, and Olga kept her apartment. She changed the locks, rearranged her home, and slowly rebuilt her life. Though the betrayal hurt, she was proud she protected herself—and her grandmother’s legacy.
