The sun-drenched parking lot felt intensely hot, but the atmosphere around the sleek, crimson supercar was ice-cold. A young boy in a grey hoodie stood admiring the vehicle, his hand gently resting on its smooth, red hood. Suddenly, a group of older teenagers surrounded him. The leader, sporting gold aviator sunglasses and a thick chain, sneered with pure contempt. “Don’t even dream of touching that Ferrari. You’re just a poor kid,” he mocked, as his friends laughed in the background. He bragged that the car belonged to his own wealthy father.
The boy didn’t flinch. He looked up, his eyes filled with calm defiance. “You want to bet?” the boy asked firmly. “If this car is my dad’s, you have to get on your knees in front of me.” The older teen scoffed, confident in his status. “I’m sure your dad is a nobody. I accept the bet,” he barked.
With absolute composure, the boy pulled out his phone and tapped the screen.
The loud, unmistakable beep-beep of the Ferrari unlocking echoed through the lot. The headlights flashed. In a split second, the arrogant teenager’s smile completely vanished. His jaw dropped behind his sunglasses, and his face went pale with absolute shock and humiliation. The boy’s father wasn’t a nobody—he was the actual owner of the luxury vehicle, and the older teen had just lost everything, including his pride, to a kid he chose to look down on. The crowd went silent as the weight of the lost bet settled in.
