Vanna White shared an emotional tribute to her longtime Wheel of Fortune partner Pat Sajak just before his final episode as host.
In a pre-recorded message aired during Thursday night’s show, White reflected on more than four decades of working beside Sajak and admitted how difficult it was to imagine the program without him.
“I can’t believe that tomorrow is our last show together,” she said, before looking back on the thousands of episodes they had filmed side by side.
White and Sajak became one of American television’s most recognizable duos after beginning their long run together in 1982. Over the years, their professional partnership developed into a close friendship, with White describing Sajak as being like a brother to her.
She recalled how quickly the years seemed to pass despite the enormous number of episodes they had made together. From contestants celebrating life-changing wins to countless humorous moments on set, the pair became familiar faces in millions of American homes.
White’s farewell focused not only on their television success but also on the personal bond they built behind the scenes.
For viewers who had watched them together for decades, the message marked the end of a significant chapter in television history.
Sajak’s departure brought an era of Wheel of Fortune to a close, while White’s heartfelt words made clear that their friendship would continue long after the cameras stopped rolling.
