Keith Urban had an unexpected guest join him onstage during his Las Vegas residency at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace over the weekend. His wife, actress Nicole Kidman, made a surprise appearance on Saturday (May 28) for a charming and “wifely” reason.
“I came to get your jacket—you left it on the floor,” Kidman playfully told her husband after greeting him with a hug, as seen in the video below.
It turns out Kidman had predicted this moment. Knowing Urban’s tendency to misplace things, she had warned him not to lose his jacket. With a laugh, the country star admitted, “She literally said, ‘Don’t lose that jacket,’ and I was like, ‘How am I gonna lose the jacket?’”
After a quick search, they discovered that Urban’s guitar tech had moved it—though Urban jokingly accused him of “stealing” it. In a sweet gesture, the singer draped the jacket over Kidman’s shoulders, earning loud cheers from the audience as she made her exit.
The playful moment gave fans a glimpse into their fun-loving relationship. Urban even treated Kidman like one of his fans, asking for her name and where she was from. When she responded with “Nicole Urban,” the crowd erupted in applause.
This June, the beloved couple will celebrate their 16th wedding anniversary. Together, they share two daughters, Sunday Rose (13) and Faith Margaret (11). Over the years, they’ve remained each other’s biggest supporters, both personally and professionally. In a recent interview with CBS Mornings, Kidman gushed, “That man is the best thing that’s ever happened to me.”
Following his Vegas shows, Urban will hit the road for his Speed of Now Tour, which spans both the U.S. and Canada. The extensive 50-date tour kicks off on June 17 and runs through November 5, with Ingrid Andress joining as a special guest.
