The Development
Without a moment’s hesitation for her pristine dress, the bride drops to her knees on the cold floor and pulls the trembling child into a tight embrace. As she wipes away the tears, the little girl reveals the cruel truth through choked breaths: the groom’s arrogant family had intentionally hidden her away, warning her that she was an unwanted burden who would ruin the prestigious wedding and destroy her mother’s chance at a wealthy new life.
