The boy looked like he had been living on the streets for several days. He couldn’t have been more than three years old. In dirty, unwashed clothes, with scratched hands and face, he slowly walked along the highway. All alone. Cars sped past, but no one paid attention to him. He was all alone.
A police officer driving by initially thought he was a homeless child. He stopped his car, got out, and cautiously approached the little boy.
“Who are you? Where are your mom and dad?” he asked softly.
The child looked up, his eyes full of fatigue and fear, and didn’t utter a word. Then he began to cry loudly.

They told the police that the boy’s mother hadn’t contacted them for several days. She wasn’t home, and her phone was turned off.
Then the police returned to the highway, where they found the boy and began searching. Only a couple of hours later, they noticed an overturned car in a deep ravine. The interior was crushed, and a woman was lying on the ground nearby. It was the child’s mother. She didn’t survive.
It turned out that the accident had occurred several days earlier. The car had been swept downhill and was no longer visible from the road. The woman left immediately, but the three-year-old boy somehow managed to escape the mangled car and climb up.
He wandered around the entire time until he reached the highway and caught the eye of a police officer.
Only a miracle allowed the boy to escape the mangled car and get out onto the road, where he could be seen.
