A stranger brought flowers every day to a sick grandmother who had only a month to live: one day I decided to find out why he did this

interesting to know

At her father’s funeral, a girl suddenly whispered that her father was alive: everyone thought the child was simply grieving until they saw it… 😱😱

The funeral was quiet, restrained and full of grief. A heavy silence hung in the air, broken only by muffled sobs. In the center of the hall stood a coffin covered in white cloth, and relatives and friends gathered nearby.

A mother stood by the coffin, holding her little daughter’s hand. The girl was silent, her curly hair falling over her face. She had hardly spoken since the day of the tragedy, and everyone thought that the child simply did not understand what had happened.

When the moment of farewell came, the mother carefully leaned over and asked:

— Do you want to say goodbye to your dad?

The girl nodded. She was lifted up so that she could look inside. For a few moments she looked at her father’s calm face, then whispered:

— Dad is just sleeping.

The room was filled with nervous sighs and barely noticeable smiles through tears. Many decided that this was a naive phrase of a child who did not fully understand death.

But the girl suddenly burst into tears and stretched out her hands to the coffin:

— Dad, wake up! You’re just sleeping!

Everyone froze. The mother hugged her and tried to calm her down, but at that moment the girl added something unexpected 😱😢 Continued in the first comment 👇👇

— I saw you coming home last night. You stood by the door, looked at us and said nothing.

A heavy silence hung in the room. Several people exchanged glances. Someone even shuddered.

The mother, confused, hugged her daughter. It seemed like just a child’s imagination, but the girl continued confidently:

— It was him. I saw dad.

And then a whisper was heard among the guests. Several heads turned to the far row. There, in the semi-darkness, stood a man whom no one had noticed before. His face was almost a copy of the one lying in the coffin.

It was the deceased’s twin brother. He had lived in another city for many years and had almost no contact with the family. He had only arrived for the funeral, deciding not to show up earlier so as not to cause unnecessary conversations.

For the adults, this explained everything—the girl had seen him the day before and confused him with her father. But for her, it was proof: dad was still there.

And although everyone understood the truth, that day no one dared to dissuade the child.
