After nearly a decade of battling breast cancer, multiple sources have confirmed Shannen Doherty’s death at the age of 53.
In a statement shared with People, her longtime publicist Leslie Sloane stated, “With a heavy heart, I confirm the passing of actress Shannen Doherty. On Saturday, July 13, she lost her battle with cancer after many years of fighting the disease.”
“The devoted daughter, sister, aunt, and friend was surrounded by her loved ones, including her dog Bowie. The family requests privacy during this time to grieve in peace.”
