“Dad, don’t leave me with my new mom, she’s doing terrible things”: a worried father decided to hide in a closet to find out the truth and was shocked by what he saw 😱😱
The silence in the room seemed heavier than usual. Victor, a man in his early forties, was sitting on the edge of the sofa, staring at the TV, where the news was on. But he didn’t hear a single word. His thoughts were wandering somewhere far away – in memories, in doubts, in uncertainty.
A year ago, everything changed. He lost his wife, and six months later, another one suddenly appeared in his life. They met at work: the woman had recently been promoted and became the head of the HR department. At first, these were simple business conversations by the coffee machine, then – rare meetings after work. Unnoticed by Victor, her presence became constant. And then one day she was already living in their house.
That day began as usual. But a slight noise in the hallway tore Victor out of his thoughts. He looked up and saw his seven-year-old daughter standing in the doorway. Usually she would fly into the room laughing and asking questions, but now she stood quietly, hunched over and stubbornly looking at the floor.
“Baby… is everything okay?” Victor immediately noticed something was wrong.
She looked up, and his heart sank: red eyelids, traces of tears. The girl bit her lip and whispered:
“Daddy, can I talk to you?”
Victor patted the sofa next to him. His daughter slowly approached and sat down, leaving an unusual distance. Her small fingers were fiddling with the hem of her dress, her voice trembling:
