A young man named Lias rushes to his father Brandon’s funeral, where Brandon’s new wife Susan and her son Richard are present. The family is silent until the dog starts barking at the coffin. When Lias opens it, the coffin is empty — revealing that Brandon isn’t really dead.
Seven years earlier, Brandon had asked Lias to work hard and not expect to be spoiled despite his wealth. After Brandon’s wife died, he met Susan, a single mother with a son Richard. Brandon quickly fell for Susan, but Lias distrusted her and felt she was only interested in his father’s money.
Despite Lias’s warnings, Brandon moved Susan and Richard in, gave Richard expensive gifts, and even announced his engagement to Susan. Lias clashed with his father and eventually left home, cutting ties.

Using the smartwatch he gave his father, Lias tracks Brandon to an old house where Brandon has been hiding, ashamed after financial losses and Susan’s betrayal. Brandon admits Susan only cared about his money, not him.
Together, they trick Susan into signing divorce papers, reclaim the family fortune, and start rebuilding Brandon’s business. Lias and Brandon reconcile, and Susan and Richard leave.
