His four sons – the eldest Armen, followed by David, Grant and the youngest, Sarkis – approached the coffin. The tension did not leave their faces.
– Hold tight, brothers, father would like us to do this together – said Armen, adjusting his hand on the handle.
– Take it in one, two, three, – nodded David, although his voice was trembling.

But the snake was in no hurry to crawl away. It was wriggling right on the white lining of the coffin.

“Enough nonsense, close the coffin!” Armen snapped, but his hands wouldn’t obey.
The crowd stood in deathly silence. Some were crying, some were praying, and some were watching with terrible curiosity.
