Recent reports suggest that George Clooney is planning to leave the United States after auctioning his Omega Seamaster Aqua Terra 150M watch, crafted in 18K red gold, at the 8th Annual Veterans Day Celebrity Auction. He was quoted saying, “I feel neither valued nor respected here, and with a significant shift on the horizon, I can’t stay because of…”
The auction, organized by Homes For Our Troops (HFOT), featured over 110 unique items and experiences donated by renowned movie stars, musicians, authors, and sports figures. The event raised over $400,000 to support the construction of specially adapted custom homes for severely injured post-9/11 veterans.
Other celebrities also contributed to the cause. Chris Evans offered a personalized video message and a signed Captain America poster to further support the initiative.
While Clooney’s departure from the U.S. has garnered attention, it’s important to note that his participation in the HFOT auction underscores his commitment to supporting veterans. The funds raised from the auction will aid in building homes that enable veterans to rebuild their lives.
As of now, there is no official statement from Clooney regarding his future plans or reasons for leaving the country.
