On a cold April evening, Marina overhears her sister-in-law Lena secretly telling their mother that she plans to take the apartment away from Marina. Lena claims Alexander, Marina’s husband, has already signed some papers and knows nothing about the real plan.
Shocked and frightened, Marina later discovers blank documents signed by Alexander in his desk. When Alexander comes home, she confronts him. He admits he trusted his sister and signed papers “for tax purposes,” not realizing the risk.
When confronted, Lena confesses: she and their mother feared Marina might claim the apartment one day, so they planned to secretly transfer it to their mother. Alexander stops the scheme, takes back the documents, and firmly defends his wife.
Lena is sent to stay at a hotel. Alexander apologizes to Marina and decides to make the apartment jointly owned, proving his loyalty and commitment. The couple ends the night united, stronger than before, with trust restored and a clear future ahead.
