I saved a baby who was falling from the fifth floor, risking my own life: everyone called me a hero, but a week later the child’s parents sued me for “reckless saving” 😱😲

I was walking down the street, hurrying to work. A typical morning, nothing out of the ordinary. I was minding my own business, looking down, when suddenly there was a loud crash from above. I looked up and saw a window shatter on the fifth floor. Shards of glass flew down, and immediately after that, something started falling.

A second later, I realized it was a child.

There was no time to think. I simply ran forward, raised my arms, and caught the baby. We fell to the pavement together. I hit my head and back hard, my vision went black, but the baby was alive. He was crying, which meant it was all worth it.

People immediately gathered around. Some called an ambulance, others looked for the child’s parents. They held me down and told me not to close my eyes. Everyone kept repeating the same thing: that I was a hero, that I saved a life.

At the hospital, they said I had a concussion and bruises. I was in pain, but it didn’t matter. The main thing was that the child was alive and well. I didn’t even know if his parents had been found or what would happen to him next.

However, a week later, I received a summons to court.

The child’s parents had filed a lawsuit against me. They claimed I had harmed their child and acted dangerously, which is why he was injured. I couldn’t believe it. When I tried to talk to them, the father yelled at me, “You’re the one who harmed our child!” and slammed the door.

In court, it looked like I’d done something wrong. Their lawyer showed photos and said I’d acted carelessly.

The parents cried and described how their child had been hurt. They brought witnesses I’d never seen before. Everyone was talking against me.

My lawyer said it was better to take a plea deal. But I refused. I knew I’d saved a life and wasn’t guilty.

On the last day of the trial, I realized I was losing. The judge looked at me as if she’d already decided everything. I felt utter despair. But it was at that moment that something happened that left everyone in complete shock 😨😲 Continued in the first comment 👇👇

Suddenly, a woman I hadn’t seen before entered the courtroom. She said she’d been on that street the day of the incident and filmed everything on her phone.

When the video turned on, everyone fell silent. The footage showed the child falling out of the window and me catching him at the last moment.

It became clear that the mother was to blame for the fall, and I simply saved the child. And if not for me, he simply wouldn’t have survived.

After that, the parents were accused of lying and stripped of their parental rights. I was acquitted.

I left the court with one thought: I would do it again. Even knowing how it would end. After all, human life is most important, and such parents will be punished by fate itself.
