I walked into the bedroom and saw my wife lying motionless on the bed, and our dog lying on top of her, licking her face and neck: I took a closer look and noticed something awful 😱😨

My wife and I have a loving and loyal dog. He has been a part of our family since day one – he sleeps with us, picks us up from work, senses any change in mood. We often say that he understands us better than anyone.

But one day, something strange and scary happened.

It was an ordinary evening. I was in the kitchen when I suddenly heard my wife scream from the bedroom. Not loud, but clearly scared. The house was quiet, and these sounds immediately pierced me with alarm. I rushed into the room.

My wife was lying on the bed, and on her was our dog. He licked her neck and whined quietly. My wife remained motionless, sometimes as if trying to get the dog off her. At first I even wanted to laugh, thinking that they were just playing – they did that sometimes. I was already reaching for my phone to film this touching moment, but something made me stop. I suddenly looked closer and realized that this was not a fun game at all, but something very terrible 😱😱 Continued in the first comment 👇👇

I noticed that the skin on my wife’s neck… was almost black. At first I thought it was a shadow, or maybe dirt. But when I got closer, I realized – no, it was skin. Darkened, slightly swollen, as if she suffocated or something was squeezing her.

I froze.

My wife was conscious, but she was not reacting well. The dog continued to lick her, as if he was trying to bring her to her senses, to attract attention, to say something in his own way.

I immediately called an ambulance. While we were waiting, she began to come to, breathing hoarsely. Doctors later said that it could have been a hidden attack or even a reaction to a blood clot in the jugular artery. And the dog may have sensed the changes before us.

We don’t know how he realized that something was wrong with her. Instinct? Smell? Empathy?

But I know one thing for sure – if it weren’t for him, everything could have ended much worse. Thanks to the dog, I ran into the room and called an ambulance in time.

Now we don’t just love him. We owe him. My wife and I are fine now. Have you noticed anything similar in your pet’s behavior?
