I was sitting in a restaurant when a man in a suit came up to me and whispered something in my ear: after his words, I ran out of the restaurant and called the police 😱😱
I had long dreamed of getting into one of the most expensive restaurants in the city. For this evening, I chose an elegant deep blue dress, did impeccable makeup and pulled my hair into a neat hairstyle. I wanted everything to look perfect.
The restaurant greeted me with soft lighting, quiet music and the smells of expensive dishes. I ordered an exquisite fish fillet and a glass of champagne. Everything was going great: I enjoyed the taste, the atmosphere, and thought that this evening would be a small gift to myself.

But at one point my peace was destroyed.
A man in a formal suit came up to me. He looked so decent and confident that I immediately decided that he wanted to get acquainted.
“Sorry, I’m not getting acquainted,” I said dryly, not wanting to ruin the evening with casual conversations.
The man leaned slightly, and his voice became firm, almost cold:

“No, I don’t want to get acquainted. I have very urgent information for you. You must listen to me. Otherwise, your life may be in danger.”
I looked at him in confusion. There was no hint of a joke in his eyes. He was speaking seriously. Everything inside me went cold.
“What do you mean?..” I asked, trying to keep my voice from shaking.
The man quickly leaned towards my ear, covered his lips with his hand and whispered something, after which I ran out of the restaurant in horror and called the police 😨😨 Continued 👇👇

— The man at the next table has been watching you closely for over an hour. And it’s clear from his look: he’s not your friend. I saw him hand something to the waiter — some kind of powder. Please, don’t drink or eat anything. Just sit quietly. In a few minutes, go outside and call the police.
Everything inside me broke off. I didn’t dare turn my head in the direction where this man was supposedly sitting. I felt my lips trembling, and to hide it, I smiled tensely.
— And who are you? — I whispered, trying not to look into the eyes of my interlocutor.
— I am a former police officer, retired. I notice such things immediately. Please, trust me and be careful.
My heart was pounding as if everyone around me could hear it. I pretended that everything was fine: I carefully put down my fork and quietly got up from the table, as if I was going to the toilet. The movements were difficult – each step seemed endlessly long.
On the street, I quickly took out my phone and called the police. My voice trembled when I gave the address of the restaurant and described the situation.

A few minutes later, the officers arrived there. I stood nearby, unable to go back inside. Then I saw a man being led out of the room – the same one who, as it turned out, had been watching me all this time.
Later I found out: he had already been a suspect in several cases of kidnapping women, but there was always a lack of evidence.
This time, witnesses confirmed: he really did try to pass the waiter something that looked like powder. This was enough to detain him.
I still remember that evening with a shudder. Just a little more – and everything could have ended differently.
And the man in the suit disappeared as suddenly as he had appeared. I didn’t even ask his name.
