Carrie Underwood Leads Worship at Nashville Church, Surprising Congregation with Powerful Performance

Churchgoers at Rolling Hills Community Church in Franklin, Tennessee, were treated to a surprise on Sunday morning (August 11) when country music sensation Carrie Underwood took to the stage to lead worship.
Carrie, who has always been open about her strong Christian faith, joined the church’s worship team and choir, delivering an incredible performance of the hymn “Goodness of God.” Dressed simply in a dress and sandals, with minimal makeup and a fresh, natural look, Carrie’s powerful voice resonated throughout the church, leaving the congregation in awe.

For many in attendance, the moment was nothing short of a blessing. One parishioner shared a video on social media, expressing how “the voice of an angel” added a special touch to their Sunday service. Others praised Carrie’s heartfelt performance and noted how evident her passion for singing about God was.
This surprise appearance isn’t the first time Carrie has showcased her faith through her music. In 2021, she released My Savior, an album of hymns that reflects the songs she grew up singing in church. The album includes tracks like “How Great Thou Art,” a song Carrie famously performed with Vince Gill at the 2011 Superstar Women of Country Music event. Their duet was met with a standing ovation and has become a fan favorite across social platforms.
Carrie and her husband, retired NHL player Mike Fisher, have also been vocal about raising their two sons, Isaiah and Jacob, with strong Christian values. In interviews, Carrie has shared how they prioritize church attendance, prayer, and teaching their sons to connect with God.
The surprise appearance at Rolling Hills Community Church was a touching reminder of how Carrie’s faith and music intersect, bringing joy and inspiration to her fans, both on and off the stage.
