At the gym, a young trainer yelled at me and kicked me out of classes simply because I was with my baby. But then something unexpected happened 😱😱

I’m a single mother. My baby is only a few months old, and my figure has changed dramatically since giving birth. I knew that if I didn’t start taking care of myself, I would quickly break down. That’s why, two months after my son was born, I decided to join a gym.

But since I don’t have anyone to help me, and my baby needs constant care, sometimes I had to take him with me to classes.

The girls in the group were understanding: sometimes one of them would take the stroller or play with the baby while I tried to do at least some of the exercises. Their support was invaluable.

But one day, something unfortunate happened. I was holding my son in my arms and trying to do some light squats, when he suddenly started crying. I tried to calm him down—rocking him, holding him, whispering, but he wouldn’t stop.

At that moment, one of the fitness trainers approached me. A tall, muscular man in tight shorts with a disgruntled expression.

“How much longer?” he began raising his voice. “The same thing every day! Why are you dragging him here? You can stay home with him, but don’t disturb other people’s workouts!”

I was at a loss. I hugged my son to my chest, feeling tears streaming down my cheeks.

“Sorry… he’s just so little,” I replied quietly.

“I don’t care! Maybe we should write in huge letters right by the entrance: ‘No children or dogs allowed’?”

I lowered my head, ready to turn around and leave. But it was at that moment that something unexpected happened 😱😱 Continued in the first comment 👇👇

A girl from our group appeared nearby. She abruptly stepped between me and the man.

“Hey!” Her voice was firm. “You have no right to talk like that. She’s a child! She’s crying—that’s normal. We all understand, and you’re yelling like she’s done something terrible.”

The trainer grimaced.

“Then let her stay home and not interfere!”

“No.” The girl persisted. “Do you even understand what a woman goes through after giving birth? How her body changes and how important it is for her to return to training? You’re a disgrace to this gym. And I’ll make sure management finds out how you talk to clients.”

And she did indeed complain. A few days later, I learned that the man had been fired.

But you know, I still have doubts. Maybe I was wrong? Maybe I really should have stayed home and not bothered anyone?
