Interesting story of a pregnant woman

Before she eventually became pregnant, a woman had struggled with infertility for six long years. Overjoyed by the news of her pregnancy, she decided to share it with her partner on his 30th birthday, believing it would be the perfect surprise. However, she was left in shock by his unexpected reaction.

The 26-year-old woman, who had been with her partner for ten years, had discussed starting a family with him. When she shared her story on Reddit, the online community was quick to criticize her partner’s behavior, expressing their concerns in the comments. A month later, she returned to Reddit to update everyone on the situation.

In her original post, the woman (OP) described feeling unwell for several days but had been too busy with work to visit a doctor. When she finally made it to her doctor’s appointment on the morning of her boyfriend’s birthday, her thoughts were focused on his celebration. After some routine checks and questions, the doctor gave her the exciting news: she was pregnant.

She kept the news to herself, planning to surprise her partner later that day. After years of trying, she was over the moon. However, when she returned home, her partner was deep in conversation with one of her friends. Wanting privacy, she tried to pull him aside to share the news, but he ignored her. Unable to contain her excitement, she announced her pregnancy to everyone present, despite his request to wait.

To her surprise, her partner responded angrily, accusing her of ruining his special day. He claimed the day was supposed to be about him and felt she had stolen the spotlight.

OP shared on Reddit how her partner broke up with her shortly after the announcement. Ten days later, he returned with a shocking confession: he had been seeing another woman. Even more astonishingly, he offered OP anything to convince her to terminate the pregnancy, but she refused. He then gave her two weeks to move out of their shared home.

OP also revealed that her partner had never been interested in marriage, telling her that “marriage was something people needed to prove their love.” He had even discouraged her from pursuing a college education because the school was several hours away from their home.

Reflecting on the ordeal, OP said it taught her the importance of standing up for herself rather than allowing others to treat her like a “doormat.” However, she noted that some people around her were uncomfortable with the change, with a few commenting that she was no longer the “sweet, innocent” person they once knew.

Most Reddit users were supportive of OP, sympathizing with her situation and criticizing her partner. They believed he never truly wanted a child with her and that his reaction was deeply unfair.
