When this grandmother was asked to renovate her apartment, she always said that she didn’t have much time to live. She lost her husband just after she turned 50.
Grandma may not live long, but for now, she’s enjoying life․ She walks with her friends and goes shopping. For 15 years we have all been trying to persuade her to renovate, but she always says she wants the house to remain as it was in her husband’s time. Finally, she agreed to have the house renovated.
We first renovated the kitchen to make it bright and comfortable, then we tidied up the bathroom. Then they suggested that the grandmother at the same time agree to beautiful ceilings and lay at least fresh linoleum. We bought new furniture and changed the wallpaper she once hung with her grandfather. Then the walls were plastered and covered with a coat of primer.
After such work, we had to remove all the trash from the apartment. We checked the wiring and moved the switches to a convenient location.
We made putty, first the main one, then the finishing one, and we applied the base. We also replaced the radiators․ In the end, everything went as planned.
After the walls dried, we sanded them, then painted the ceiling and decorated it with skirting boards.
We chose fleece-based vinyl wallpaper. To achieve a modern result, one wall was decorated with patterns, the others being plain.
And here’s the fun part! The grandmother decided to leave the old furniture in the house in memory of her grandfather, but it’s good that she accepted a new sofa! Now, of course, grandmother will feel better.
