Miranda Lambert Surprises Las Vegas Crowd at Lainey Wilson’s Show With Unreleased Duet “Good Horses”
Fans attending Lainey Wilson’s recent Las Vegas show got more than they bargained for when country superstar Miranda Lambert made a surprise appearance on stage. The two powerhouse singers teamed up for a live performance of an unreleased song they co-wrote, titled “Good Horses.”
Wilson, the reigning CMA Entertainer of the Year, has come a long way from her humble beginnings—living in a camper outside a recording studio and relying on the kindness of others to get by. Through it all, one of her biggest sources of support has been Miranda Lambert.
“Sometimes it can be lonely… Miranda is one of those people for me,” Wilson shared. “She’s helped me through a lot. It’s the life on the road that’s hard—the early mornings, the late nights. Lack of sleep makes everything feel a little off.”

Their bond has deepened over the years, with Lambert even surprising Wilson with the news that she had won the ACM Award for New Female Artist of the Year back in 2022. Given their close friendship, it’s almost surprising they haven’t released a song together—until now.
At the Vegas show, Lambert joined Wilson onstage and introduced “Good Horses,” a song they co-wrote with Luke Dick. It was the first time the duo had performed the track live.
Lambert later shared the moment on Instagram, writing:
“Thanks for inviting me out to sing with ya @laineywilson. Sure love you sister. Y’all—we sang a song we wrote together with @lukedick called Good Horses. First time we’ve ever done it live and whew did it give me the chills. Can’t wait for this one.”
Fans were blown away by the emotional performance, and it’s sparked hope that the song will be officially released soon. Given the chemistry between Lambert and Wilson—and the heartfelt story behind the song—“Good Horses” may be one of the most anticipated country releases of the year.
