Margaret’s quiet evening is shattered when a young woman named Kristina appears at her door and bluntly announces that she is having an affair with Margaret’s husband, Victor, and that Margaret must move out of her own apartment. Kristina claims Victor will leave his wife and return to live there with her.
Instead of breaking down, Margaret calmly prepares. With the help of a lawyer friend, she reviews documents and uncovers key facts: the apartment was gifted by her parents, a prenuptial agreement punishes infidelity, and Victor has been living off her success while pretending to be wealthy. Meanwhile, Kristina turns out to be lying about her pregnancy and deeply in debt.
When Victor returns, Margaret sets a trap. In one confrontation, Kristina learns the truth: Victor is not rich, the apartment carries debt, and Margaret owns a highly profitable business. Kristina storms out, furious and exposed.
Margaret then gives Victor a choice: a clean divorce with minimal compensation or total loss under the prenuptial agreement. Left with no leverage, Victor accepts. Margaret keeps her dignity, her home, and her future—while starting a new chapter built on independence, strength, and quiet victory.
