My Mother-in-Law Called Me a Liar Because I Had Daughters — But When My Son Was Born, She Lost Everything

interesting to know

Isabela Cortés believed her marriage to Alejandro was strong enough to survive anything. But she did not know that his family loved their surname more than they loved the truth.

From the first day of their marriage, Alejandro’s mother, Mercedes, demanded one thing: a grandson. In the Aranda family, everyone proudly repeated the same old belief — “Aranda men only have sons.”

So when Isabela gave birth to her first daughter, Lucía, Mercedes smiled in public and whispered poison in private.

“She doesn’t look like our family.”
“Girls are never born from Aranda men.”
“God reveals secrets.”

Isabela stayed silent, hoping peace would protect her marriage.

Then she became pregnant again.

Another girl.

Mercedes exploded. In front of the whole family, she accused Isabela of betraying Alejandro. She called both daughters strangers, said they did not belong to the Aranda bloodline, and demanded a DNA test.

Alejandro defended his wife at first. He took Isabela away and promised his mother would never hurt her again. But guilt slowly pulled him back. His father called. Relatives pressured him. Mercedes cried and played the victim.

Finally, Isabela agreed to one last dinner.

It became the night that destroyed everything.

Mercedes refused to apologize. Instead, she grabbed Isabela, slapped her, and threw a crystal decoration at her head while Isabela was still pregnant. Isabela ended up in the hospital with stitches, terrified for the baby inside her.

The baby survived.

But Isabela’s trust did not.

Months later, she gave birth.

This time, it was a boy.

Suddenly, Mercedes cried with joy. Suddenly, Ramón wanted to visit. Suddenly, Alejandro’s relatives called him “the true Aranda heir.”

But Isabela only looked at them and understood the cruel truth.

They had hated her daughters until a son made them useful again.

So when Mercedes arrived at the hospital with flowers, Isabela did not let her inside.

Alejandro begged. Mercedes sobbed. The family demanded forgiveness.

Isabela held her newborn son close and said quietly:

“You wanted an heir. But you forgot he comes with a mother. And this mother will never let you teach him to hate his sisters.”

A week later, Isabela filed a police report, requested a restraining order, and left Alejandro’s family behind.

Her son was born healthy.

But he was not born to save the Aranda name.

He was born into the one family that had always deserved love — his mother and his sisters.
