When my friends and I were standing at the doors of the church and waiting for the ceremony to begin, suddenly a long black limousine drove up to the very entrance. Everyone turned around, and everything inside me sank. The door swung open — and my mother-in-law got out of the car.

But her voice was completely fake, feigned, and it became clear to everyone that she had planned everything in advance. She didn’t even look at me, walked past and, as if it was her holiday, took a seat in the front row.
I was not just offended — I was bursting with rage. After all, I am the bride here. This is my day. And she decided to turn it into a theater of jealousy, to show everyone that her son supposedly belongs only to her. I saw how the guests were laughing, looking at me with pity, which made me feel doubly hurt.
