My mother-in-law tried to put my dogs to sleep while I was away — but I got my revenge, and now she won’t even come near our house 😲😢
My mother-in-law never liked my dogs. Their barking annoyed her, their fur, paw prints — pretty much everything about them. I’ve heard her say so many times, “Dogs are unsanitary,” and “Only crazy people keep animals in the house.” But I always tried to ignore it, because these were my dogs, my family.

That day, I was away on a business trip. Just gone for a couple of days. I left my dogs at home like always — with enough food, water, and an automatic feeder. I never imagined my mother-in-law would meddle in my life like that. But somehow, she got into the house — thanks to the spare key I had once given her “just in case” — and used it.
She decided to have my dogs put down while I wasn’t home — but I got my revenge, and now she won’t even step on our porch.
When I came back, I couldn’t find my dogs. Their bowls and a few toys were lying on the floor. I called my mother-in-law, and she calmly told me she had “taken care of the problem.” According to her, she took them to a vet to be euthanized — “you’ll thank me later, less mess around the house.”
Something inside me broke. I was furious, horrified, devastated — because these weren’t just pets, they were my friends, my family.
My heart was shattered, but I came up with a plan for revenge. And after that, my mother-in-law never came around again and hasn’t even called since.
Soon I found out that the vet refused to follow her request — he said the dogs were healthy and posed no danger, and instead contacted a shelter where they were temporarily housed.
When I found that out, I rushed to the shelter and got them back. I swear, I’d never been so happy to see those wagging tails greet me.
She tried to put my dogs to sleep — but I got my revenge, and now she won’t come near us.

After that, I called her and invited her over to talk. She came, confident that I’d “thank” her. But she was in for a surprise.
I sat her down and played the security camera footage showing her dragging my dogs out of the house. I replayed it over and over in her face, saying: “You wanted them dead.” She started to shake.
Then I showed her a legal document I had drawn up with a lawyer — a restraining order banning her from approaching our home, my wife, our kids, and especially the dogs. If she violated it, I’d file a report for trespassing and attempted animal cruelty.
But I didn’t stop there. I sent that footage to all our relatives and friends — so they could see what she was capable of: the attempted killing of innocent animals. Her reputation was destroyed in a moment. She tried to defend herself, but no one wanted to listen.
She tried to put my dogs to sleep — but I got my revenge, and now she won’t even come close.
Since then, my mother-in-law hasn’t come near our home. She’s scared. And she should be. Because I made it clear — if she ever touches my dogs again, I’ll do everything in my power to make sure she faces full legal consequences.
My dogs are alive. I protected them. And my mother-in-law got what she deserved — now she’s left alone with her hatred.
