When faced with a terrible tragedy, finding people who have been through the same thing can provide comfort and hope. Members of the Missing People Choir in the United Kingdom have lost children or loved ones.

They encourage one another and explain that singing together makes them stronger and is “good for the soul.” The choir members recently auditioned for “Britain’s Got Talent” to spread their message, and the judges, including Simon Cowell, were blown away by the choir’s performance and positive message.

“I Miss You,” written by one of the choir’s members, Peter Boxell, is sung by the choir. Peter’s 15-year-old son vanished after a soccer match in South London in 1988. Peter is still hopeful that he will see his son again.

After they finish, all of the judges are impressed, and many people in the audience are in tears.
