Little Johnny dashed into the mall toy store, eager to buy a toy plane. With excitement, he handed the cashier a stack of Monopoly money and made a beeline for the exit.
“Hey, kid, this isn’t real money,” the shopkeeper called after him.
Johnny kept walking, pretending not to hear. The shopkeeper, a little louder this time, repeated, “Excuse me, that’s not real money!” But Johnny didn’t stop.
Finally, after the third call, Johnny turned around with an exasperated look. “What?”
The shopkeeper smiled patiently and said, “That money isn’t real.”
Johnny glanced at the toy plane in his hands, then back at the shopkeeper, and with a shrug said, “Well, this isn’t a real plane, either.”
