The garden was glowing with warm lights hanging between the trees. Elegant guests spoke softly, while children danced on a small dance floor in the middle of the evening party.
Everything looked joyful.
But near the edge of the dance floor, a little girl dressed like a princess sat quietly in her wheelchair. She watched the other children dance with tears in her eyes, trying to smile even though sadness was written all over her face.
Her father stood beside her. He said nothing, but his eyes showed how much he wanted to protect her from that pain.

The music seemed to slow down.
The entire garden fell silent.
The guests stopped talking. The children stopped dancing. Everyone watched as the little princess tried, with effort and courage, to stand.
Then, for one brief moment, she rose.
She was trembling, but she was smiling.
The boy leaned closer and whispered:
“See?… You already took the first step.”
The little girl looked toward the dance floor with eyes full of emotion.
That evening, it did not matter how far she could go.
What mattered was that someone believed in her wish before she found the courage to try
