The new director of the company where I worked as an accountant for 25 years forced me to retire: but I had a cruel plan for revenge
I have been working as an accountant for 25 years in a well-known company. I don’t want to name the name — there are too many people there who still respect me.
Over the years, the company became a second home for me: I came to work before everyone else, left last, knew everything down to the smallest detail, and, to be honest, loved my job more than one might expect.
But everything changed the moment the management decided to “renew the team”. They appointed a young, ambitious guy as director — self-confident and greedy for power.
He did not tolerate those who had their own opinion, and fired everyone who he did not like in any way. First, those who worked less left, then they started to touch the old-timers.
I hoped until the very end that my experience and loyalty to the company would protect me. After all, I had been holding the entire financial department on my shoulders for so many years! But my hopes were in vain.

One day, I was sitting in my office, sorting through the latest reports, when the door suddenly swung open. The director walked in, accompanied by two of his deputies.
They put the papers in front of me – a letter of resignation of my own free will. I didn’t even have time to say anything, as they, with smiles on their faces, almost mockingly, began to persuade me to sign.
“Either retire voluntarily, or we ourselves will ruin your life. Experience, reputation – everything will be crossed out,” the director said, looking me straight in the eyes.
I felt everything inside me turn over. It was impossible to contain the hurt, anger, and humiliation. My hands were shaking, but I signed the papers. Not because I gave in, but because at that moment I realized: they were digging their own hole.
They forgot who they were dealing with. That’s when I came up with a plan for revenge. And that’s what I did. Continued 👇👇
The new director of the company where I had worked as an accountant for 25 years forced me to retire: but I had a cruel plan for revenge
I worked as an accountant for twenty-five years. I knew all the schemes, all the “holes” and tricks that the management used in the documentation.
I knew more than they would have liked. Did they think that I would just leave and accept it? No. That was their biggest mistake.
I collected all the necessary documents and handed them over to the tax office. The audits began one after another. Every time the inspectors found a discrepancy, I knew what would come to light next.
Their new accountant couldn’t cope with the tasks – too young, too inexperienced.
The company was shaken up like never before. The young director, who had recently been full of ambition, was now running around the corridors in a panic and literally begging me to get my job back. “We’ll pay more! We’ll fix everything! Just help!” he said.
But I just smiled. I already had tickets for a long-awaited vacation in my hands – for the first time in many years, I allowed myself to think about myself and not about work.
Now I have a new life ahead of me. And they have nothing but inspections and failures.
