His own children abandoned an old man in the forest without food or water for the sake of his inheritance, hoping that wild animals would devour him: but what the wolf did shocked everyone 😢🫣
The forest was plunging into thick darkness. An elderly man was sitting on the damp ground, at the foot of an old oak tree. His breathing was heavy, his hands were shaking from the cold, his eyes were full of despair. His own children had brought him here and abandoned him like useless junk.
The children had been waiting for his death for a long time. The inheritance – a large house, land, money – should have gone to them. But the old man still did not die. Then the children decided to speed up the end: they left him in a dense forest without food, without water, hoping that wild animals would quickly do their job, and the police would consider it an accident.
The poor old man sat, leaning against a tree, and was afraid of every sound. The wind howled in the distance, but through it he could hear another sound – the howling of wolves. He knew the end was near.
“Oh, my God… is it really so…” he whispered, folding his hands in prayer.
At that moment a branch snapped. Then another. The rustling was getting closer. The old man tried to get up, but his body wouldn’t obey. His eyes darted around in the darkness until a wolf appeared right from under the bushes.
The beast slowly walked out onto the path. Its fur glistened in the moonlight, its eyes sparkled. The wolf bared its teeth and began to come closer.
“That’s it,” the old man thought.

The wolf did not rush. He came very close, froze, and then… lowered his head and howled quietly, as if talking to the old man.
The man, not understanding what was happening, extended his hand — and the beast did not flinch. On the contrary, he allowed himself to be touched by his thick fur.
And then the old man remembered. Many years ago, when he was still full of strength, he found a young wolf in the forest that had fallen into a poacher’s trap.
Then he was not afraid and, risking himself, unclenched the terrible iron teeth, freeing the beast. The wolf then ran away without even looking back… But, apparently, he remembered.
Now this lonely forest predator bowed before the man, as if before his savior. The wolf sank lower, making it clear: sit down.
With difficulty, almost without strength, the old man grabbed the beast’s strong neck. The wolf rose and carried him through the dark forest. The old man heard the branches crunching under his paws, the shadows of other animals flickering nearby, but no one dared to approach the couple.
A few kilometers ahead, a light appeared – a village. People, hearing the barking of dogs, ran out into the street and saw something incredible: a huge wolf carefully laid an elderly man at their gate, exhausted but alive.
When the old man found himself in the warmth, under the roof of kind people, he began to cry. Not from fear, but from the realization that the beast turned out to be more humane than his own children.
