The prisoner’s last wish was to see his dog for the last time: but as soon as the dog entered the prison cell, something strange happened 😲😲
His last wish before the final sentence, which was to be the end of his life, was to see his German Shepherd. The prisoner accepted his fate with silent resignation.
For twelve years, day after day, he woke up in a cold cell B-17. He was accused of allegedly taking a person’s life, and although he swore his innocence, no one listened to him. At first, he fought, wrote complaints, turned to lawyers, but over time, he simply stopped fighting and waited for his sentence.

The only thing that worried him all these years was his dog. The man had no other relatives. The German Shepherd was not just a pet: she was his family, his friend and the only creature he trusted. The prisoner found her as a puppy, shivering in a gateway, and from that day on they were inseparable.
When the prison governor brought a paper asking for his last wish, the man did not ask for fancy food, cigars, or a priest, as many do. He only said quietly:
“I want to see my dog. For the last time.”
At first, the staff was skeptical. Was this a cunning plan? And so, on the appointed day, before the verdict, he was taken out into the yard. Under the watchful eyes of the guards, he met his dog.
Seeing his owner, the shepherd broke free from the leash and rushed towards him. At that moment, time stood still.
But what happened next surprised everyone. The jailers stood there, not knowing what to do 😲🫣 Continued in the first comment 👇 👇
The dog, having broken free from the policeman’s hands, rushed towards its owner with force, as if trying to overcome twelve years of separation in one moment.
She flew into his arms, knocking him down, and for the first time in many years the prisoner did not feel the cold or the weight of the shackles. Only warmth.
He hugged the dog tightly, burying his face in its thick fur. The tears that he had not been able to afford all these years burst out.
He cried loudly, without shame, like a child, and the dog whined quietly, as if it also understood that they had little time.
“You are my girl… my faithful…” he whispered, hugging her tighter and tighter. — What will you do without me?..
His hands were shaking, he stroked her back, again and again, as if he wanted to remember every little thing. The dog looked at him with devoted eyes.
— Forgive me… for leaving you alone, — his voice broke, became hoarse. — I couldn’t prove the truth… but at least you always needed me.
The guards stood motionless, many of them looked away. Even the most severe could not remain indifferent: in front of them was not a criminal, but a man who in the last minutes of his life held the only thing left of his world.
He looked up at the prison warden and said in a breaking voice:
— Take care of her…
He asked the prison warden to take her to his home, promising that he would not resist and would accept the sentence.
At that moment, the silence became unbearable. The dog barked again, sharply and loudly, as if protesting against what was about to happen.
And the prisoner only hugged her once more, pressing her to himself as only a person can press, saying goodbye forever.
