Julián Castañeda, a wealthy property owner, goes to confront tenants who haven’t paid rent. Instead, he meets Valeria, a quiet seven-year-old girl living alone while her mother, Teresa, is hospitalized with leukemia. The child supports them by sewing at night, terrified of being taken away by social services.
