Keith Urban arrived in Australia on Friday ahead of a major honor at the Tamworth Country Music Festival. The 57-year-old landed solo, without his wife, actress Nicole Kidman, and was spotted carrying his own bags as he made his way through the airport.
Dressed casually for the flight, the country music star wore black track pants, a navy shirt with a gold sleeve design, white sneakers, and dark sunglasses—exuding effortless style as he exited the terminal with a black backpack and duffle bag in tow.
The highlight of Keith’s visit is his induction into the prestigious Roll of Renown Hall of Fame during the 53rd Toyota Golden Guitar Awards on Saturday. The honor recognizes his extraordinary contributions to the music industry.
Festival manager Barry Harley praised the artist, telling The Daily Telegraph, “Keith Urban embodies the essence of the Tamworth Country Music Festival. His journey is a testament to perseverance, passion, and talent.”
In addition to this milestone, Keith is set to receive the Golden Guitar award for the top-selling Australian country album of the year for High.
This recognition comes just months ahead of his highly anticipated High and Alive tour across Australia in August 2025—his first tour in the country since December 2022. The nine-show arena tour, which promotes his latest album, will feature rising country artist Chase Matthew as the opening act.
The tour kicks off on Wednesday, August 13, at Newcastle Entertainment Centre, followed by back-to-back performances at Brisbane Entertainment Centre on August 15 and 16. He’ll then take the stage at Wollongong’s WIN Entertainment Centre on August 20 before performing at Sydney’s Qudos Bank Arena on August 22 and 23.
Melbourne fans can catch him at Rod Laver Arena on August 25 and 26, with the tour wrapping up in Adelaide on August 28 at the Adelaide Entertainment Centre.
Keith’s recent public appearances—including his Golden Globes outing with Nicole earlier this month—have only fueled excitement for his return to the stage. Fans across Australia are eager to see the country music superstar back in action.
