Irina is a freelance web designer working from home in her own apartment. Her husband Dmitry convinces her to let his mother stay with them for the winter. Soon, the mother-in-law starts controlling the household, disrespecting Irina’s work, and constantly interrupting her during work hours. Dmitry sides with his mother and dismisses Irina’s job as “not real work.”
The tension grows until a major conflict erupts. Realizing she is being disrespected in her own home, Irina firmly tells both Dmitry and his mother to leave her apartment. After they move out, Irina finishes her project in peace and feels calm and free, having regained control over her life and space.
