Elena arrived at the parking garage and discovered that her car was gone. When she called her husband, Vadim, he calmly explained that he had given her car — which she paid for — to his ex-wife so she could drive to the countryside and save her mother’s potato harvest.
Elena was furious. She had an important business meeting, all her work materials were in the car, and she was now losing money and reputation.
