Snow covered the streets when Emily noticed an elderly woman standing beside a city bus.
“Ma’am, you can’t board without a ticket,” the driver said.
The woman was visibly shivering.
“Please… it’s freezing outside.”
Emily looked at the ticket in her hand.

“Take mine. I’ll find another way.”
The elderly woman stared at her.
