A six-year-old boy saw a wet rope near a river: he pulled the rope, and a few minutes later, something terrible floated out of the water
It was a warm and serene day.

The boys were playing on the bank of a quiet river. They launched bark boats, threw pebbles into the water, and laughed so loudly that the echoes carried throughout the forest.
Suddenly, one of the boys—Ilya, the most curious of the group—noticed something strange.
A thick rope lay on the sand, almost at the water’s edge. One end of it extended straight into the river, hidden beneath the murky surface, and the other was cast ashore.
“Look!” Ilya exclaimed. “What if there’s treasure in there?”
But the friends immediately became wary.
“Better not touch it, it might just be trash…” someone said hesitantly.
“Or a trap!” added another.
A six-year-old boy saw a wet rope near the river: he tugged on it, and a few minutes later, something terrifying floated out of the water.
Despite his fear, Ilya leaned over and grabbed the rope. It was wet and cold. He pulled—and felt resistance. There was clearly something at the other end.
“I’m pulling!” he shouted, but his friends had already started backing away. Some laughed nervously, others simply turned pale.
“Let’s get out of here!” one shouted, and was the first to break away.
A minute later, Ilya was alone by the river. His heart was pounding.
He pulled again—harder this time. The rope gave way, slowly, as if something heavy were dragging along the bottom. The water stirred, and something terrible emerged from the depths.
The boy froze, but didn’t let go. He continued to pull until he finally saw what floated to the surface. 😱😱 Continued 👇👇
A six-year-old boy saw a wet rope near the river: the boy pulled on the rope, and a few minutes later, something terrible floated out of the water.
It was the body of a man. Water slid down his face, his eyes were closed, his clothes stuck to his skin. The rope was wrapped around his waist, and there were bruises on his neck.
Ilya screamed. The rope fell from his hands, he recoiled, and ran toward the village. Tears blurred his vision, his breathing was ragged, but he didn’t stop.
By the time the adults returned to shore with him, the current had washed his body closer to the shallows. It was later discovered that the man had been missing for a week.
And no one had dared touch the rope, that very rope. It still lies near the shore, a reminder that sometimes curiosity can reveal a terrible truth.
