AMERICAN PICKERS’ FRANK FRITZ REMEMBERED
Fans of American Pickers mourned the loss of Frank Fritz, the longtime co-host whose humor, curiosity, and passion for forgotten treasures made him one of the most recognizable faces on the History Channel.
Fritz passed away at the age of 60 on September 30, 2024. His longtime friend and former co-star Mike Wolfe shared the heartbreaking news, remembering the many years they spent traveling together, meeting unforgettable people and searching for pieces of American history.
Frank last appeared on American Pickers in 2020. In the years that followed, he faced serious health struggles, including a major stroke in 2022 from which he never fully recovered.
For millions of viewers, however, Frank was much more than an antiques expert. His warm personality, sharp eye for unusual finds and friendly negotiations with collectors helped turn ordinary barns, garages and forgotten storage spaces into places filled with fascinating stories.
Alongside Wolfe, Fritz showed audiences that an old motorcycle, vintage sign, toy or dusty object could carry decades of history and memories.
His unmistakable personality became an essential part of the show and earned him devoted fans around the world.
Although Frank Fritz is gone, the adventures, discoveries and stories he shared on American Pickers remain. His passion for preserving pieces of the past will continue to inspire antique lovers and collectors for years to come.
