interesting to know

Every night, I woke up with the feeling that the cat was staring intently at my husband and me, and it was terrifying 😨

At some point, I set up a camera to see what was happening in the room at night while we slept. What I saw on the recording truly terrified me 😱😲

Our cat always slept in our bedroom, on her bed against the wall. She was calm, intelligent, never bothered us, and almost never came out at night. So, it took me a while to notice that something had changed in her behavior.

During the day, she acted as usual: she ate, slept, and came to cuddle. But at night, it was as if she had stopped sleeping altogether. Sometimes I woke up in the middle of the night with a very strange sensation—as if someone was staring at me. I’d open my eyes and see the cat. She was sitting next to my pillow, unblinking, staring at us. It was especially terrifying in the dark.

At first, I tried to ignore it, but these nights kept happening. At some point, I started feeling uneasy and decided to take the cat to the vet.

“Maybe she’s just stressed or bored,” the doctor said after examining her. “She’s healthy. Just watch her behavior; maybe something’s bothering her.”

But how can I keep an eye on the cat at night while we’re sleeping? I had no other choice, so I set up a night vision camera in the bedroom, pointing it directly at our bed.

In the morning, I sat down to watch the footage again—at first I froze, and then I simply couldn’t believe my eyes. The reason the cat was staring at us so intently turned out to be completely different from what I expected.

She wasn’t looking at me, but at my husband, and the reason shocked us. 😱😲 Continued in the first comment ⬇️⬇️

The video clearly showed: as soon as we fell asleep, the cat climbed onto the bed and sat next to me. But she wasn’t looking at me. The whole time, her gaze was fixed solely on my husband. She sat there for almost an hour, without moving.

And then the fun began. As soon as my husband started snoring, the cat calmly reached for his face, placed her paw right on his mouth, and held it there until the snoring stopped.

After that, she carefully got up, went back to her bed… and peacefully fell asleep.

I almost fell over laughing. It turned out that my poor cat was simply bothered by my husband’s snoring. And, instead of enduring it, she developed her own “scheme” for maintaining peace.

Now we know: it’s not the camera that keeps order in our bedroom at night, but the cat.
