Anna’s life changes overnight when her husband Oleg takes her salary card and demands obedience in exchange for returning it. Despite earning more than him, she realizes he sees her money—and her life—as something he owns.
Pretending to comply, Anna leaves the apartment, blocks the card, and seeks refuge with a friend. That night she decides to file for divorce. When Oleg threatens and humiliates her, she stands firm, warning him she will involve the police if he continues.
The conflict spills into her workplace, but Anna makes it clear: the marriage is over, and control is no longer his. The threats continue, yet fear is replaced by resolve.
A week later, with divorce papers and a new bank card in hand, Anna moves into her own place. She buys a one-way ticket to Portugal—just for herself.
For the first time in years, she feels truly free. Independence comes at a high price, but it is worth everything.
