Sofia discovers that her husband Dmitry secretly gave her expensive new sheepskin coat—bought with her own hard-earned money—to his mother without asking. When she demands it back and he dismisses her feelings, Sofia destroys what he values most: his prized leather coat. Dmitry fails to retrieve the sheepskin coat, and his mother comes to confront Sofia while wearing it. Realizing the coat is forever tainted and the marriage irreparably broken, Sofia deliberately ruins it as well. The story ends with the couple’s relationship shattered, symbolized by two destroyed dreams and a complete collapse of trust and respect.
